Confused- which version of VAGCOM do i need?

Hello,

wodner if anyone can help. The airbag light came on in my car and soemone advised me to buy this lead so i can get them working again;

The lead has arrived and i have installed the drivers that came with it. Which version of VAGCOM do i need to download? My car is a 99 A4 2.8 Quattro. Here are the choices;

Lastly, what do i do when i have installed the correct version? Will it be as simple as going on and clearing the code?

Thanks fro the quick response.. I am going to download it now and see if i can clear the airbag light to hopefully get the airbags working.

Will it be obvious what i have to do when the laptop is connected to the car and the program running?

You can only use the Shareware version for dumb interfaces.

What advantages are there in having V704 as opposed to 409.1?

Also, if I register VAG-COM and subsequently want to upgrade my no-name cable, will I need to pay the full fee for cable and software?
