Anyone heard anything about the planned Q5 launch? Various car mags I've read have suggested late summer/autumn. There is no news on the Audi site and the only pics I've seen look to be photoshop mock-ups. The Q5 could be a more economical/sporty alternative if you don't need the 3rd row of seats. I just hope it is big enough for lugging kit around.

When the Q5 goes on sale in mid-2008, the range will start from around £30,000.

Cheers for that ;) Looks a bit like a Q7 that's been squashed in a vice. I think they have reworked the rear light clusters which is needed in my opinion. The sporty and fun to drive bit sounds interesting - but then Audi seems to say that about all their cars these days. I am a bit sceptical of that claim as the stats and handling aren't usually quite up to Beemer level.

Still.... let's give it a chance especially as Brown is going to screw us Q7 owners on road tax and fuel duty.
