Manual Hood release

Help, i have a manual hood and the electrical button which releases the hoods storage compartment isnt working, so at the moment im doing it manually. Any ideas,

Hi !

I know the solutions sounds bizarre but I had the same problem with my Cabriolet and it turned out (from reading the manal) that you have to have the boot locked before the switch will operate !

It must be a safety device because when the hood lid is lifted up, this lid is over the boot lid. If somebody were to open the boot lid now then the hood lid would dent the boot lid

Any way...give it a try and see how you get on !

No still didnt work i think i might try checking all the connections. Any other top tips greatly appreciated

The boot does have to be locked, maybe your boot switch is faulty?
