HELP Trouble codes 18261 and 18057

[Bluechip]

My Abs light is constantly on and the handbrake light keeps flashing on my 2002 golf tdi.

I read the codes with a code reader and the 18261 (P1853) and 18057 (P1649) codes keep showing up and do not erase.

I think these are refering the brake control module? will the pump need to be replaced or could it be something else?

Any ideas/help would be greatly appreciated.

P1853 = Data Bus Powertrain Unplausible Message from Brake Controller
P1649 = Data Bus Powertrain Missing message from ABS Control Module

More than likely a faulty ABS sensor.

the first code is 18261 - Data-Bus Powertrain Unplausible Message from Brake Contr. (nothing to do with the transmisson)

and the second code is:
18057 - Powertrain Data Bus: Missing Message from ABS Controller.


any ideas what these mean?
