ive got a vento with a 1.8 8v 90 bhp engine same as in the golf mk3's got a overheating problem, the guage reads over half way but only just ints on the next notch now the fan doesn't kick in n i dunno why but thats not the problem i hooked up the fan to a switch n when it gets to normal temp i turn the fan on and the car still runs overtemp now ive flushed the coolant system through and replaced all temp sensors and i know the rad n all pipes are clear so there should be no reason for it to run overtemp it doesn't get really hot never reads past the next notch after half way but is troubling me and i dont want to run the car when its hot, could my temp reading be out as it doesnm't look like it gets that hot as the coolant never boils which it would if it got to 100 degrees any ideas would be great thanks the only thing i havfent checked is the stat cos its a mission to get to and would prefer if i didnt have to get to it!!
