steering problem

hi there,hope someone can help me,i have a 2003 audi a4 1.9 tdi. i am having a problem when steering, turn wheel from left to right the pully belt starts squeling?. i have replaced new power steering pump, no change what so ever, fanbelt is tight the spring pully is working as it should, the steering turns fine with no problems till the belt starts jumping and squeling. thanks for taking the time to read this, really need some help, cheers!!....:aargh4:

Sounds like the Belt Tensioner, but if you are sure that is ok,? Could be a bearing on one of the other pully's?

Hi If the alternator has a free wheel ? which is faulty, it can cause your problem

thanks guys, i took the alternator off and took it to be looked at, kenney your the man!:beerchug:!.
thanks so much, it was the alt pully ,first i thought it might be pointing to p.s.pump,how wrong would i of been. thats what i was gonna change first but you saved me a packet, cheers again
