Dash Message

I Have The message "FAIL" in the tripometer window when the engine starts first faze of ignition shows tripometer as soon as engine turns fail comes up this has happened ever since i changed my battery

any ideas how to rectify

i noticed that fail appears as soon as the ignition is turned but the tripometer is counting as it changes after every trip so any ideas what has failed to get fail written on the dash

No. Have you had it read by vagcom?
Something simple like a bulb?

no i havnt would a garage do that for me

Yep - make sure they have vag.com - or a member in your area for a couple of beers.
