Gearboxed

Hi all

I recently replaced the bronze bushings/brakes in the gearbox of my 96 A4. But i'm having problems getting 1st and 2nd first thing in the morning and also when i'm driving. What could be causing this problem. New oil has been put into the gearbox. If i get a garage to look at it, could they maybe determine the cause and give me a price. I've already spent E4,500 this year alone on repairs

What gearbox oil have you used. BMWs have this problem and I used Redline MTF oil which has friction modifiers for the syncros - helped alot when cold!!

Another is if the clutch is new it can be 'grabby' until it beds in.
