I'm about to replace the front disks and pads on my 1999 Tdi 115 Estate, but looking on GSF it seems that there are a number of different types depending on what make of caliper is fitted.

What's the easiest way to check which type will be suitable?

Call GSF or Euro car parts and give them your registration number and they will be able to tell you what disks you need. Or, if you go onto www.vwspares.co.uk (http://www.vwspares.co.uk) you can view all the disks and pads and check suitability by matching your engine code to the disks they sell.

As above call GSF but i now go with their genuine pads every time - i used the cheaper ones once but they wore quickly and were not a brilliant fit leading to an annoying 'click' on braking.
Should be around £90 for disks and pads IIRC.

As above, if you give them your registration number they will supply the correct ones. The part numbers they use never seem to correspond to the ones in the catalogue, I recently got some OEM pads and Brembo front discs from them.
