VAG Com new user

hi just had my new laptop and was wondering which vag com version i should get. Just want to do the basics like scan for codes, erase codes, live data etc. Also which 16pin USB connetor will I need. cheers

what car do you have?

in general, the CAN BUS cables will work with all VAG cars from '95 onwards.

i think VAG COM from Ross Tech (www.ross-tech.com) is always the same version, it just depends on what cable you use, and if you register the software or not (the shareware version is limited to certain functions)
