can soemone help.

i have downloaded the vag software for my beetle 2000. and bought the cable from ebay (blue end on it) it aint arrived yet , i thought i would prnt out the ross tech manual and have a read.

its so confusing with these codes and making new ones etc.

i jsut want it to switch off my airbag light and to check any faults etc.

is this easy enough or will i get confused.

Yes its easy and yes you will get confused.

The best way to proceed is with caution and use VAG-COM to check things for a while before jumping in and changing things without thinking ahead.

Do a Simple scan on getting the cable and post up your results first hand, were all here to help.

The manual does read scary, but its better to read info from forums. Makes more sense and is written in a simple way.
