Hello everybody,

I have trouble with my A4 '98.
Dashboard light, radio backlight and all gauges are out of action.
Dashboard warning lights like ABS, handbrake etc still work properly.

I've checked all the fuses in drivers side box, each looks fine.
I've also checked two big main fuses under steering wheel, both are fine.

Knows anybody what's wrong?

Thanks for any reply
P.

When you say the fuses look fine, have you just done a visual test or used a multimeter? you need to check it with a multi meter. another googd idea is to check that you have a volatge at the instrument fuse as the you rule out parts of the loom for faults.

Unfortunaley wiring faults like this are a pain to find, get a haynes and follow the wiring diagram.

one last thought it may be something to do with the dimmer control, on my old golf when this broke (open circuit) the dash lights went out!!
