Hey every1 i m new 2 this site and i was wonderin if any1 has any idea wot the engine code is for my 1993 Audi Coupe 2.0 16v

well i ve just bought my coupe and it needs a new airflow meter would an "6A" or an "ACE" airflow meter fit and work

ABK is 2.0 8 valve ACE is 2.0 16 valve

okay doke, is £75 a decent price for a brand new airflow meter

No idea mate but looking at the VW/AUDI website they seem to retail at 80-700 euros...must be goldplated ones? on fleabay a lot cheaper around 30-100 quid, but dont know if any for you motor...but check under VW aswell cos it is a Golf GTI engine

Hi Thought Leonjt had made a mistake the ACE engine was not used in the Coupe before 1996.

This is the part i m lookin 2 buy and i went for a look at my coupe and couldn t find any sign of an engine code, but i hav the 2.0 16v engin and assumed it would fit ok would i have the "6A" then if the "ACE" wasn t used b4 1996

I think the ACE was introduced 1992ish? What does the V5 say for the engine number (first couple of digits will be 6A or ACE I think?
Also the engine code will be given on the vehicle data sticker (3" square paper sticker) inside the front cover of the service record. There is another one inside the boot, stuck to the inside of the rear valance below the r/h light cluster.
