Last night in the cold Scottish weather, the car was difficult to start, eventually when started, the idle speed went up & down between approx 800 & 1200 RPM ( normal idle speed 700 RPM) this made driving difficult.
When started from cold today, the erratic idle had gone & idle speed had returned to a smooth 700 RPM.
Any one had a similar problem ? possibly coolant temp sensor / idle valve?
