Hi All! Newbie with a MK3 gti problem

Hi, I've had a few golfs. Mk1, MK4 and now a Mk3 8v gti 97, p reg. I seem to have a stalling issue. When I approach a junction and push the clutch in it sometimes stalls. It often drops to 400 revs and sometimes doesn't stall. It is a slight issue, obviously, because bump starting on junctions and infront of oncoming traffic isn't my idea of fun! Any ideas? I'd appreciate it a lot!

In terms of your car stallling, you might want to get the throttle body cleaned. It's a common problem with the GTi's. From what I read on the forum here, the 16v seems to suffer from the issue a lot more but it can easily happen with the 8v as well.
