Hi Guys, I'm new to the site.
Anybody EVER heard of the lining of the diesel tank lining failure, causing globules of plasic to float around in the tank, evenually blocking the fuel filter pipe in the rear lift pump.
( Yup, plastic diesel tanks are lined)
Mine failed and has just cost me £500+ to have the tank changed.
VW UK were not interested and refused to contribute towards the cost.
I have owned the car since new (1 May 2000) and have FSH.
