Hi Everyone,
i posted on here about a month ago now about a really annoying squeek coming from the steering wheel!
After a number of garages trying to fob me off with different things i finally decided to look myself.
I have no mechanical training at all so didnt think i would find anything.
Any way i noticed that the tie-rod end was lose and i managed to get 3 full turns on the nut.
I also found that when i turned my passanger side wheel (whil in a jack) you could hear the squeek coming from the engine bay.
I believe it is the steering damper i sprayed some WD40 (Thtas all i had) on it and it stopped teh noise for about 20 miles then it came back.
I have a quote for the steering damper at £20 and was wondering how easy they are to replace??
i think it is just to bolts to undo? does naybody know?
