Hi.
I have a 1999 A4 tdi and have tried all the options in the Haynes to remove the service reminder to no avail ie. press button A switch ign on release button A and then pull button B for two secs and that should work but it doesn't.
Any ideas please :1zhelp:

Hi–Switch off ignition.Press the reset button for the trip recorder on the dash panel insert and at the same time switch on the ignition. The display of trip recorder shows: “serviceOIL”.Release the button.Pull out clock adjuster knob for approx. 2 seconds to reset “serviceOIL”.Depending on manufacturer of dash panel insert the trip recorder display will either continue to show “serviceOIL” (Nippon Seiki) or it will display “- - -” (VDO).Press the reset button for the trip recorder again to call up the next type of service.Release the button. The display of trip recorder shows: “serviceINSP”.Pull out clock adjuster knob for approx. 2 seconds to reset “serviceINSP”.Switch off ignition.

Thank you Kenny and why don't the books tell you this as there is no mention of pressing the reset button at the end. :beerchug:
