Hi,
I intend to replace my rear shocks and the rubber housing as they make a really annoying noise. I have managed to remoev the spring with the shock but had to stop as I was unable to remove the shcok. There is a 17mm bolt with a nut in the middle. My question is, do I need a special Audi tool or is there a way of removing this?

If anyone has any other general tips on this subject I would be very glad to hear them.

Thanks

Do yo KNOW wt are you doing ? That spring will shoot like a bullet if you remove that nut !!!! Get some spring clamps to compress the spring otherwise you could get hurt by attempting to undo them shocks !

Hi,
Yes I have spring clamps and am well aware of the pressure that the spring is under. Do you have any ideas on the tool required?

Many Thanks
