My daughters Polo would not tick over so I removed the TBA and cleaned it, the tick over is now near 1600 rpm but slowly falls to 1000 rpm

I know I need to throttle body aglinment, I am not sure I am using the correct group after selecting measuring blocks

I have been selecting 098 selecting go then selecting basic settings

first two blocks have voltage readings third block can't remember forth block reads ADP ok

Am I in the right area as the tick over has not altered. any advice?

Thanks John

hi john

i have a similar problem with an audi A3 1.6

have done the throttle body alignment three times now and immediately after the cars runs perfect however switch it off and restart after a coupel of minutes and the throttle goes back to running like a burst ar**

for some reason it will not save the basic settings coming up with error code 01087 basic setting not performed 27-00 implausible signal.

for your own fault i would make sure you have read & cleared any stored fault codes then if 098 does not work try 001 i read somewhere that on some engines 001 is the correct channel

good luck

Hi Paul

Yes I am having the same fault code 01087 basic setting not performed, signal outside specification intermittant. also 00533 idle spedd regulation 09-10 adaptation limit surpassed intermittant 00533 08-10 control limit surpassed intermitant

I will give channel001 ago when weather improves Thanks John

Managed to have another run today, what a bummer my laptop has no serial port so I have to lug my desktop outside.

Finally cleared all the faults cleaned lamba sensor and managed to do the Throttle body adaptation

still slightly slow dropping revs to Idle. Going to have a look around the airfilter system

thanks for the help Paul it was 098

regards John
