Year 2000 identity crisis

I have purchased an X reg 2000 A4 1.8 SE. I had a look for a haynes manual but ran into trouble as they have one book which states up to 2000 and a 2nd book which shows 2001 upwards. this may sound straight forward but the book which goes up to 2000 also states up to w reg. The 2001 onwards states from x reg upwards. Im confused. My car is defeinaltely the older shape (PRE 2001) but has climate control and engine management computer etc. Is my audi a cross of both models. Is is the B5 shape with the B6 interior and fittings?

you have a facelift B5, so the manual you need is 1995 up to 2000/01 after that its the B6 shape made from 2001 up

Thanks for the reply. This makes sense. I wish I had realised this before buying the Haines mannual that covers the B6 model.
