Hi,
This is my first post on the site so please bear with me. I have had my TT for almost three years, its on a 02 plate and has done approx 85K miles. Over the last couple of months I have had problems starting the engine. It takes at least five attempts on occassions and on others does not start at all. There is some life there and it turns over but then cuts out. The EMS light comes on temporarily but when it finally gets going goes out. I have just had a new battery fitted but this has not rectified the problem. I have a huge service in the summer, £800+ so am loathed to take it back to Audi. Has anyone else had similar problems or can suggest any reasonably proced Audi specialists in the Mansfeild area?

Thanks

Common problem on the VAG 1.8t engines is the MAF (Air-Flow-Sensor) we have had a number of these engine with starting problems put down to a faulty MAF Sensor.

If replacing the MAF always use a Genuine Bosch part and not a cheap clone from Ebay.
