Electric Mirrors not working

Just recently bought an audi A4 1.8 se (1999) and realised that side mirrors can not be adjusted by the controller on the driver's door. The controller does light up when lights are connected so assume the connection at that end is ok?

Any pointers towards where the fuses are or relay etc will be greatly appreciated.

the dimming function on the drivers mirror seems to be working fine. Im thinking possible the motors?

Mine also stopped working and sometimes would operate the oppositte mirror it was supposed to. Miraculously, they cured themselves after about a year and work fine now, what is that all about!?

well lets hope the same occurs here! may try and test the control switch on the door to see if its getting power, its either that or the mirror motors but both failing together is odd!
