Hi everyone,
I have a 1997 A4 2.8 quattro, and have not had any problems with it since i bought it in june 2006......until today :(.
Whilst driving along a motorway, i went to indicate to change lanes, mis-hit the indicator stick, and pressed it down, but not hard enough to actually put it on. (sorry for poor explaination). Basically the indicator flashed twice quickly and clicked twice inside the car as i pressed the indicator down hard enough to actually work, but not hard enough to stay on.
Basically since then the 'clicking' of the indicator has been on in the car when the indicator is not on. The clicking is inconsistent, sometimes clicking far more rapidly then that of when its on normal, and there are small gaps of silence too. The indicator lights do not come on when the clicking can be heard, and the only time it is normal is when an indicator or hazards are on.
As you can imagine, it is a real headache especially as i drove a further 100miles with around 200 clicks a minute!
Has anyone heard of or know how to solve this problem?
Any advice would be much appreciated.
