I have a 1999 A4tdi Avant and after a very cold morning it didn't start first time but did second time.It must be starting without glow plugs somehow. The glow plugs where replaced 2 months ago and they all spark when you flash a live to them. There is no feed going to any of the wires and i believe there is a link fuse somewhere but i can't find it and the warning light works as it should so i would think that rules out the relay and temp sensor and can anyone tell me where the link fuse is please:zx11:
The haynes is of no use and tells me its somewhere it isn't.:1zhelp:

Thank you in advance for anybody who can help me.:beerchug:

Hi,

I had the same problem with feed to glow plugs, replaced temp sensor, new glow plugs, i replaced the relay no 202 and that seemed to cure it right away, but the car is slow starting slow again so i think something must be fusing the relay but dont know what.

Hi easy way to check your glow plugs.
Take one out and get some jump leads, connect power to screwed end(live) of g/plug and batt and connect earth to tip and batt, should glow very red in approx 5 seconds. DO NOT TOUCH PLUG FOR 10 MINS AFTER..
