Hi there,
New to this forum and Audi but have had numerous diesels in the past. Can anyone help with my query? My A4 Avant 100 bhp Tdi auxillary fan comes on when cold at start up but goes off after about 5 minutes. This appears to happen when the glow plugs take longet to warm up (coincedence?). Also I know diesels are heat effecient but 12 minutes of driving before normal operating temperature does see excessive, but maybe linked to the fan coming on. Any help would be most appreciatte and maybe save me face from going to the dealers with a "stupid" query.
