Can anybody help to describe how to change the alternator at this model?

First view was that it is a piece of cake, but after a while I was stuck with the second bolt of alternator housing. I 've undone it but couldn't take it off. How to do it? Thanks for any help. jack:confused:

I have changed 2 alts on my 1999 tdi. I did it without the service position or taking the viscous fan off. I have to admit to bending the long bolt and replacing it with one that is about a quater inch shorter and put it in with the head of the bolt to the rear of the car. I know this is wrong but it worked. The pulley is another story, I used the dealer and they butchered it and had to give me a new one! The 2nd alternator was a factor part and had the pulley already on,, Good luck!!
