hi , a mechanic used a diagnostic tool to check for problems with my automatic transmission and came up with a few possible problems - TCC SOLENOID ,CLUTCH SLIPPING ,VALVE BODY DEFECTIVE ,TORQUE CONVERTER MECHANICAL MALFUNCTION.

its a 1.9tdi 90 bhp Automatic gearbox, 2 wheel drive
chassis no .WAUZZZ8DZXA276370
engine no .AHU440549

the Fault code was 01192 unfortunately its not in the mechanics book he is asking around but its taking its time .does anyone know what the exact problem is for this code .

The transmission fluid is fine , and we initally thought it was the mass airflow sensor on the Turbo but that has been ruled out .

the problem is like this when overtaking or driving even slightly uphill the car struggles deperately when reaching 50-60 miles per hr ,loseing nearly all power ,this happens intermitently but is becoming increasing common [every 1 /2 days ] also it would be hitting 3500-4000 revs at this point, when it is on a straight road like a motor way it can easily ,maintain 80-90 mile per hr.
so im asking what is other peoples opinion what does it sound like it could be and if any1 know the prices for the parts required for the above problems new or used , we'll probably be getting a friend to fix it if possible .
thanks to eveyone in advance.

The fault I have for code 01192 says "Torque Converter Clutch". Not really clued up on auto's.
Have you ever had a clutch slipping on a manual car? Doe's it seem like that?
