Hi Yas
MPG = Current Miles Per Gallon (what your driving at now)
MPG 0/ = Average Miles Per Gallon (since it was last reset)
MPH 0/ = Average Speed in Miles Per Hour (since it was last reset)
*h ** min = Time spent driving (since it was last reset)
*** mi = Milage counter (since it was last reset)
*** (FUEL PUMP LOGO) = Estimates how many miles you have left on your current fuel level
Your Passat probally has a small number 1 or 2 on this display also, this represents 2 seprate time computers. For example trip 2 normally resets just when you tell it to but number 1 will reset normally when the car has been turned off for a while.
Hope this helps.
Please note that above where it says "0/" this represents a circle with a line going through it

Hi again Yas,
My old Passat didnt have this either, it did not show how much fuel you have left.
My old Passat was a 1999 and from that I remember the computer display was on a blue screen below either the speedometer or the RPM.
My new 2004 Passat has it in-between the two of the dials on a black screen with red lettering. They are both B5's although the 2004 is the facelift version from the original B5.

I think that in the face lift models the on board trip computer was changed simlar to the ones that the Audi's had in them.
