t4 white smoke problem

Hi guys i have a 94/95 t4 2.4d 5 cylinder.I took it off the road over a year ago to give it a good check over and have since encountered o problem with white smoke and lots of it.I changed the injectors renewed the glow plugs put in a new oil pressure switch new starter motor even renewed the short hoses between the injectors.When starting from cold i pull the lever under the dash and she fires up first time but blows lots of white smoke out the back,although this soon clears but when i push in the dash lever she runs like a bag of nails and produces loads of white smoke pull the dash lever out again and she runs fine not lumpy and no smoke.PLEASE HELP Arran

Sounds like the timing belt's jumped a tooth or some teeth. Get a new belt fitted and get the motor timed up properly.
