s4 clocks in 1.8t sport avant

i put some s4 clocks in my 1.8t sport 1999, the clocks went in fine and the display came on, however the car wont start, soon as i put the old clocks back in, its fine, any help would be appreciated. Thanks

The instrument cluster holds the immobilizer circuitry. The new cluster will have to be programmed to the car and the keys programmed to the cluster.

Unless you were given the SKC code with the dash, it will be very expensive to fix at a dealer. I have seen places advertising on ebay for obtaining the code for you for a cost,might be worth ringing one of them
