Hi, I am a new user and hope that I have put this post in the right place.

I have just been informed by Audi that I need to replace my A3's Intake Manifold Flap and would like to find out what it would cost to have it done at an independent specialist - does anyone have any experience of this or could anyone recommend an independent they trust?

Would be grateful for any advice.

Thanks.

I called them but they had never done an Intake Manifold Flap before and asked me to take the car in so they could quote the labour cost. As they quoted the same price as Audi for the part I've decided to go with Audi.

VW rescue were great - it turned out to be a hole in a small pipe and they admitted that sometimes it can take hours to find - but lucky for me it was a 10 minute job
From memory cost £30 for diagnosis and £10 for the pipe/fitting

Can't vouch for any other repairers and now drive a Volvo!

Sorry!!!!!:Blush2:

Frontier Volksworks in Bordesley. I've used them ever since I moved to Birmingham and never looked back. Top service, great guys, and incredible prices.
