hello guys/girls
If i have not been driving my car for a few days and i take it out, at low speeds in 3rd gear say 25mph the car seams to judder/jerk when i put my foot down almost like the cluch is sliping, however when the car has warmed up a bit it seams to be fine, i put it in 6th gear at 40mph and put my foot down and it pulled fine which makes me think that it is not the cluch, this problem only seams to happen if the car has not been driven for a while say 4/5days. it is on a 2001 v6 4motion done 65000miles
any idea what it could be, if it is the cluch then bugger cause that is expencive. i know it is about £1000

it aint your cluch mate otherwise it would be doing it all the time, so theres £1000 pound saved.

what sort of rev's is it doing it at?

Only when it is cold at about 2000rpm in 3rd the rev needle was not moving at all when this happend it jsut stayed at about 200rpm so i guess it is not like the clutch is sliping. it was driven 25miles last night to my girlfriends house came back this moring to work and it was fine, over took going up a big hill and it pulled like a train.

Sounds stupid, but have the engine temperature sensor checked. When mine went the car was juddering, engine hunting at idle and all sorts of bizzare behaviour. Cheap part to replace too

Funny you should say that cause it does take a long time to heat up, over a 20 mile trip some mornings it will not heat to 90oC, was not even a really cold morning prob about 0oC

I took my car to work today not a problem if it was the engine temperature sensor, can they get stuck open so that to much cold water flows around the engin no alowing to heat up,
