hi
just went to fit the n/s track rod end today, its mot time and the old one is shot to bits, removed the top bolt and the other bolt that goes through to hold it in place got it out of the mount now i can get it off the steering rack any hints or tips please (ive spayed load off wd40)
i got the 18mm spanner on the rack and slacked of the lock nut but cant get the track tod end to unscrew,
any help would be great guys
maybe im doing somthing wrong please help dont want to have to pay to get an easy job done.

This can indeed be a bugger of a job,You need to turn the steering as far out to the side you are working on,loosen and push the plastic gater in.Using a hammer,(not too heavy) hit around the threaded area were the track rod is skrewed into,at the same time using a counter hammer on the oppisite side,this usually is enough to loosen up the threads.If not then you will have to use heat.

thanks Kenney try it tommorrow, dont have heat other than my paint stripping gun, might give it a go if the hammer doesnt work,
