I know this is a similar topic to my other thread so apologies for that, but this is a specific query.
Providing you had the dash off, can you physically remove the radio by somehow disengaging the fixings that are holding it in place - but from the OUTISDE of the radio?
Has anyone got any pictures of what the side of a removed radio looks like? I am presuming they are just clips or something and they get deactivated when the radio keys pop in, but I can envisage myself cutting everything out to remove the radio and then finding out you still need to use keys.
Surely there must be a way to remove a radio without using keys as if the holes ever got broken (like mine) you could never remove it.
I wonder how the VW mechanics would tackle this.
