Vento Not Starting - Help

Hi, can anyone help ?
My new (new to me) vento, 95M reg, has ran perfectly until this morning.
I think the alarm has not deactivated (perhaps I need a new fob battery - although it does make a sound and the indicators flash when I press the button ?)
I have a horrible feeling that the immobiliser is not deactivating (?)
