Hi, i was offered a corrado 2.0 16v for £200!! so i bought it. Im putting the engine into my 1987 mk2 golf gti 8v. (E reg) Has any body out there attempted this before???? if you have could you please give me some advice. Is the conversion fairly straight forward??? Wat mounts do i need??? Loom??? driveshafts???? I've never attempted an engine conversion b4 so any adviced would be much appriciated

It's been done loads of times, you should drop the complete front subframe and the gearshift and loom etc - you're gonna need most of it. You'll need to get splicing the loom as your car is not 90 spec. It's the electronics that's going to be the toughest part as the Corrado is G2-based.
