If you would like organise a Nurburgring trip, please feel free to use the forum to raise awareness.

I could start a poll for you so you could canvass thoughts numbers etc.

Let me or anyone in the team know:D

I'm organising a trip on Briskoda. Will be my 2nd time going, and the first time I've organised it. Booking chalets at the local center parcs.

Have lots of tips, but probably not all I can remember right now

1) don't "learn" the ring on GT4 and reckon you can do a sub 9 minute lap on first time out
2) buy laps in bulk as price per lap drops.
3) use norfolkline ferries. Cheap, and the ring is only 250 miles from dunkerque

Enjoy it. :D

i might use this company as they seem reasonably priced and are based 5 miles from me.

i'll ring them tomorrow and see if i can make my own arrangments for the crossing as i can get a FREE train using tesco points.

If you get the chance...go. Its brilliant.
As per previous posts - almost everyone will be quicker than you the first time out, don't be a **** and think your quick or you'll just bend your car/bike. Also keep a good eye on whats coming up behind you and learn the basic rules for the ring. Lastly - try and get someone (ring local) to slowly take you round, it'll came your nerves big time.

Note - don't think the open days are 100% confirmed for 2008 yet.

Interested in this one as I was going to go with the VR6 club but I got fed up of throwing money at it and hope to have it sold by then.

Ben,

Dont you want you r freinds to come with you?!!!!,

I would love to go, but I couldn't do it in my standard Audi. I would need something special.

:(

my car is special....and some might say i am too.

well if mycarsavw would let you leave your car at his house, and you don't mind sharing a twin room, you could come with me...

this all depends on my dad tho, as he would like to come but it is pending news from elsewhere about mom. His has permission tho which is half the battle;)

Got the camera mount sorted! I'll be using the N95 so i bought a windscreen suction phone holder with a flexible arm on it, bent it to the angle required, and then took a hot knife to the plastic to make the camera lens accessable.

I tested it on the way home today. Due to youtube constraints of 10.00 mins, i've had to chop the video down. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_suTaUCepOM The audio was what was on the radio.

The video shows how well the light sensor copes with the low sun. The video quality settings were reduced due to my 1 gig card running out of space. I've ordered a 4 gig today.

Right then

I'm all booked in. I've ordered my free train tickets and confirmed that i'm going over for 3 nights giving us 2 days at the ring and 1 day travelling each way.

Bring it on........:drive:
