Hi Gents
I am a new member to the forum...& I am in need of some help
& clarification before I go diving to fix our work horse.

On the way back from cornwall with a full comlement of children, dogs & useless
adenda a family seems to trawl around we encountered some horrendous hours
of stop start traffic.
Eventually the clutch / slave cylinder gave out.
I was left double declutching the car for some 200 miles to get gears.
The car is now on axle stands.
I can select gear easily with engine off.
When you start engine, clutch operation makes no difference to gear selection.
Blipping the throttle gets the car to move up & down the gears.

I am pretty sure clutch or related release part is to blame.
No hydraulic leaks from slave cylinder etc.

I am looking for any data or prior experience to help me nail this job.
I would really appreciate some workshop manual data for this area detailing
procedure & fastener torque values.

I am asking alot.
I will try to return the favour.

Cheers
Jac
