Hi, this is my first post on this site. Thanks for looking. I am currently revamping a 1994 S4 and a 1990 V8 Quattro and will offer any relevant info discovered during my time with these cars.

I have the radio code for my 1994 S4, but not a procedure to use it. Car has Bose audi. The station preset buttons go from 1 to 4. The code is 1698. There must be a trick to it. How do I enter the digits 6, 9, and 8 when the numbered buttons only go to 4?

FYI
I currently have the S4 disassembled for timing cover replacement. The car had a hit in front. I could use a hood for it, by the way.

My 1990 V8 is getting a new heater blower motor. I have the under hood stuff taken apart and am ready to do some dash disassembly to release the airbox to be removed up front.:beerchug:

Thanks for the info on the code entry. One more problem. When the radio is turned on is displays "SAFE" and does not respond to pushed buttons. There may by a button combination required to push in order to then enter code.

Which model of radio is it, do you have a part number or model type?

I have't been able to get a make and model for the radio. Its been so cold here I have not wanted to work in garage. I'll try to post this info over the weekend. I'm not sure where to find the info on the radio. I guess I'll try to pull it out of the dash and check for decals, etc.

Thanks for the reply.

The details will probably be on a barcoded label on the right hand side of the unit as you look at the front. Just get all the numbers you see written down.
