I thought I'd better drop in and say hi. I have just become the owner of my first ever VW, a rather nice & well cared for 1993 VW Polo Genesis Hatch. I am tickled pink with it. (Previous car was a Vauxhall or should that be Vauxhell Astra?)

I suppose compared to modern cars my polo is very basic, but I love the fact that everything is so simple. (I adore those little led warning lights) All being well I hope my relationship with my VW will be a long one. :D

Welcome :bigok: Was the Genesis a special edition to mark VW sponsoring said rock group? At the time I went to see them on tour which was sponsored by VW I am sure.

Thanks for the welcome. :D I haven't a clue as to why they called it the Genesis. When I changed the insurance over, it came up on the database as a Polo GT, but it says clearly on the log book a Polo Genesis.
