a3 non start

hi everyone, i have a a3 1.8 r reg 97, at first it had an intermitent fault not starting although if left for a while it would start( couple of hours)
now it wont start at all, have no signal to the ignition amplifier, have changed the crankshaft sensor and ignition coil/amplifier, any ideas?

Are you getting a live to the coil?
are you getting both live feeds to the engine control unit?
could be a faulty ignition switch, cutting feed to the control unit and coil amplifier.

i have got a live and earth to the coil/amplifier, i have checked the ecu and all seems correct, but i will test it again, i will also test the ignition switch, sounds like you could be on to something.
