Hello everyone, I wonder if someone can help me with this.
I have an X reg Audi A4 SE Auto 2.4 with tiptronic gearbox.
When I reverse my car it acts like its losing power and judders really badly. The harder it has to work (ie reversing up hill) the worse the juddering seems to be, in fact the engine sounds like it is misfiring. If I am on the flat and I just leave the car at idle speed it will reverse slowly with no bother but as soon as I touch the accelerator the juddering starts. Going forward is no problem at all.
My concern is that this is the gearbox, I went to 2 garages who said it is but I don`t really know what else it could be.
I read somewhere on here that failure to regularly change the transmission oil can have an effect so I suppose that is a good place to start.
Any suggestions would be gratefully received!!
