coilovers on mk2 1.6

i have brought a set of coilovers for my golf and was wondering how hard/easy are they to fit and do i need to use my orignal top mount with the bearing in it

you need a special socket key set for vw and audi cars. There pretty straight forward fit. I used new top mounts from a Golf G60 but you can use the old ones. I would advise using new or uprated 1s as with coilovers everything will be under more stress due to the stiffness.
