Hi guys,

My VW Bora has a problem starting when the engine is warm. First thing in the morning it starts first time no issues but if I stop mid journey after the car has warmed up it would need to turnover for about 6-7secs before starting...

Any ideas..?

Cheers..

Hi

I had this problem in my golf, I tock it to the dealer and they cleaned the throttle body out and runs fine now, but i also found when starting it if i used a small amount of throttle it would start fine.

a known effect on the early mk iv tdis, queried it on mine at two main dealers, reply: - no problem. And it never was actually, it would start, it just felt like a lot of cranking on the forecourt (5 ish seconds?). If it starts cold well, the battery is good, and it is not using any oil i would not worry.
