hi all new to the forums.
i have a scirroco mk2 gt 92, run the engine without any water and now the engine starts and stops with no reaction from the gas pedal and the exaust has a blowing sound that wasnt there before. thought it could be the head. had an idea to put a vw 1.9tdi golf engine in it but dont know wether this would work or not however this would be sweet if it worked.
any help on the matter would be great.

A few people have made the swap, usually with a caddy engine I think, I'd put a post up on the owners forum
