Hi fellow golfers,

Can anyone tell me how I go about finding out my stereo code?

I have to disconect my stereo to instal a car hands free kit and don't want to do this until I have the stereo code, I have looked through my manuals and unfortunately the page with the code on was removed by the previous owner!

Any advice........?

maybe worth going to a vw dealer where they will either reset it and put a new code in or get the original code, think thats the only way round it.....;)

unless anyone else has any ideas.......

Ta for the response mate. Did consider doing that but am wary of the dealership costs! Was wondering if there was a cheaper option out there?

Check your local car accessories shop (not *********) most of them have business cards on the counter advertising local companies that decode radios cheap. Failing this (and only as a last resort) it might be worth checking on ebay for a decoding service. I recall seeing one advertised for approx £25 I think it was, incl post

Ta for the advice guys, will defo check that out.

In the mean time I was searching on the web for that kind of service and found this.......

Might give these guys a go, what do you think? Anyone had any dealings with companies like this?

For the sake of £5, it's worth a try I suppose!
