things starting to go wrong

have we made a mistake in buying this gttdi golf:mad::mad: first the low mpg,the pump leak.now the passenger side central locking is intermitant (3 door),also to me the brake pedal is very soft and looses presure when stood on:(:(its the wifes car so maybe i aint just used to the brakes.the pedal isnt going to the floor seems to be the first circuit only.anyone else got these problems.its a worry as the car is low mileage and full service history:1zhelp::1zhelp:

things are not all bad mate, i think that you have got air in your break system, so a break fluid change would sort out that i think. as for the door, you prob just have a broken and breaking cable, more than likely it will be in the link between the door and the body, as for the pump well things sometimes just break, i have spend much money on my golf from things just wearing out. as for low MPG, what do you call low??????
