Datime running lights - Configurable?

I see these are a no cost option on the A4 now. Can daytime running lights be configured by anyone after purchase? Or can they only be done by an Audi dealer?

I have seen a lot of discussion threads on the good and bad of DRL's, but nothing on if they are configurable by users.

This forum, has been so useful. I have had several queries and found most answers in the old threads. I notice most members are just a few posts old, but the few die hard faithfulls stick it out to help the rest of us.
