Hello all,
Happy holidays!
I got a strange problem with my A8 (2000 4.2 ENGINE), it started few days ago. While on drive in idle the engine start shaking irregularly. When i put on neutral everything was fine, needles to say also when driving it was fine too.
However the very next day the shaking come back right after I’ve start the engine, get worse when on drive. I've checked the oil lever and notice low, so i have add a quart. Long story short: after all I've got too much oil; finally I have made the level perfect however the misfire won't stops.
I run the VAG scan and this is the results:

16684 - Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected
P0300 - 35-00 - -
16692 - Cylinder 8: Misfire Detected
P0308 - 35-00 - -

16690 - Cylinder 6: Misfire Detected
P0306 - 35-00 - -

Could be an ignition coil or ignition lead breaking down to those cylinders.....

Thanks Stuart,
It actually was an ignition coil, easy way to check was to swap the 8 cylinder with 7th and the error code changed to cylinder 7th. Thanks for your reply.
